Dow AgroSciences LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, announced today that Irish authorities have approved the registration for Dow's new insecticide known as Isoclast™ active (ISO common name sulfoxaflor) in Ireland.
On October 14, 2016, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) re-established the registration of products containing sulfoxaflor (Isoclast® active), including Transform® WG, Closer® SC and Sequoia® insecticides.

On November 12, 2015, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) canceled the registrations of sulfoxaflor-containing products as required in a September 10, 2015, decision by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The court determined that EPA did not have sufficient data to unconditionally register these products at the labeled rates. The cancellation affected Transform® WG, Closer® SC, XXpire® WG, Seeker® and Sequoia® insecticide products, which contain sulfoxaflor.
Dow AgroSciences hosted representatives from the food chain (from growers to traders) from Europe, the Middle East and Africa to dialogue on the Company’s recently launched innovative and effective insecticides, Isoclast™ active and spinetoram. Both molecules are registered at EU level and have now been entered into the process to receive national registrations.
Transform™ insecticide gives rapid knockdown, even in cool weather, of GPA as well as cabbage aphid, turnip aphid, oat aphid, corn aphid, grain aphid and rose grain aphid. Transform works both by contact at the time of application and also systemically providing residual control of feeding aphids for up to 2 weeks after an application. Its active ingredient, Isoclast™active, has not been implicated in any resistance testing.
